My dog died a month before I got back to my parent home.
I would love to bring her everywhere with me if I could.
Simple jewellery as a part of home that you can bring with, keep them save and take them home.

Materials: Patinated bronze, Oxidized silver, Silver
***Edition 10, all stamped and numbered***

“Stirring coffee takes only a moment, but that small plastic stirrer will last for hundreds of years.”
Would you throw away a gold ring that has not been worn for 10 years? If not, why then is it so easy to throw away a plastic spoon that has been used for only 10 minutes?
I have used a ‘lost wax’ casting technique to give discarded objects a new life. Casting is a process through which wax models are immersed in plaster, the wax is then burnt out and molten metal is poured into the resulting cavity. This is a conventional casting process, but instead of using wax I have used discarded objects.
An egg box, a plastic spoon, a stirrer, a mouthwash bottle, an artificial flower, a polystyrene burger box, and a stack of baking cases, reincarnated in silver, rearranged, and given a new use, ready to serve for breakfast. Rubbish with another chance of life, to be used by generations to come, with a material value that can be traded instead of thrown away.

I never get to use the pen that dad gave me.
I love the lightness of plastic pens that always use to blow away my thought on the paper.
New shiny silver cap, snaps perfectly with an old plastic pen.

I buy Twix extra because it’s only 10p more expensive than regular one. I finish it in one go, and feel guilty for the rest of the day.
Bargain food persuades people by playing with the value of money, which has brought a lot of problems to society: over nutrition, eating disorders, obesity, illness, guilt, wasting food, wasting resources, over production, etc.
Can design make people buy food that offers LESS?

I often get a knock from the flat below.
The inner side of the ring rubs against my bare skin, my personal space. It’s not always comfortable when someone try to get intimate.

The person in front orders… "Double-caramel skim, decaf, macchiato and Italian cheese bread, Cheddar, bacon, light mayo, all veggie, no onion and cucumber"
I only want what ever sandwiches and a cup of tea.
"My tea time" is a very simple tea menu and a way of serving it. Creating a precious experience by bringing new environments and drinking suggestions.

garden tea; a tray to be served with hot water and herb pots, mix up a very own fresh herb tea.

night tea; a tray to be served as a cushion.

Lines, Layers, Levels
I’m playing with dots to lines, lines to layers, using layers of different levels.
From simple to complicated. From sheet to object.
I’m asking myself, is it enough to make something pretty? If so, where do I stop? When is the prettiest point?

My mum asked me to lean the chairs against the wall in case it rains. Firstly, Why don’t we keep that water. Secondly, I’m lazy.
I made a garden table that collects water in its central base which can be used for plants and flowers potentially saving 178-510 litres of water a year. (taken from average rainfall in the driest to wettest part of UK)
Next to it, the bird feeder which collects water from its roof and channels it into the bird’s bath underneath.
Effortless eco-friendly objects.
*Finalist InnovationRCA’s Selected Works programme 2007

What can you do with a whole chicken? In my mum’s case, she manages to cook using all its parts. And I would try my best to be a good girl that day to get priority in choosing my favorite part, the drumsticks.
Supermarkets treat meat the same as chocolate bars: 5 chicken legs, 10 chicken wings – all available in one pack.
I have nothing against eating meat, but shouldn’t we give it more respect?

Each Drink have their own typology of vessel e.g. beer mug, wine glass, coffee cup, milk bottle etc.
How about when we mix the drinks?
Lemon tea, Rum tea, Iced tea
How 2 typologies create new function and ritual of drinking.
How 2 typologies create symbolism on the bottom of the cup.

Lemon tea

Rum tea

Iced tea

What if any table in your house could be changed into a ping-pong table? Never mind its shape or size, it is just perfect.
We made the ping-pong tablecloth and two adjustable clips to hold the net in the middle.

Isle of Bute was one of the most famous islands in Scotland about 100 years ago which has more than 100 benches all around. They are only empty benches nowadays while people prefer to catch cheap flight to go to hot beach for holiday.
I created series of benches that are located at the most beautiful location at the different time in a day to encourage people to enjoy a day trip in Bute by walking from South to the North.
At the different height, the benches allow you to use in different proposes. Fresh high tree house in the morning, very low bench on the grass in the afternoon, swinging your legs in table-high bench with you lover in the evening and lay down enjoy charming stars with the night bench.
All my benches connected to each other by the map. Once you take the journey you have to trace the symbol of each bench on your map.
Fill up your map!

Welcome to Tithi’s studio.
My objects reflect a little of what I have seen in ordinary everyday life.
I'm interested in objects that are not only seen but heard; an object that can speak for itself or I can talk about.
I'm working on numbers of objects for galleries, companies, exhibitions while still keep on practicing whistle from my studio in Shoreditch, London.
